After many years of having done office work, I am now changing careers to be a companion/caregiver. While I am not qualified to offer medical assistance and would prefer not having to help someone bathe, I AM willing to do things like help with running errands, providing transportation to and from appointments or other activities (like going food shopping, for example), preparing a meal (although I'm no gourmet chef :o), or if someone just wants/needs companionship for things like sitting and talking, going for a walk, or just watching TV together.
I am a dependable, responsible non-smoker who cares about people (having brought food to a homeless shelter for 3 years). And being 62 myself, I can relate to an older person's aches and pains :o)!! Also, since I would be working for you on my own and NOT through a health care agency, by cutting out the "middle man", I CAN and DO charge less for my services than you would pay by going through a home health service.
